Internship Application Procedure
CEPA Europe makes its very best effort to place current students in
internship positions according to their preferences as indicated on the
application form.
Since internship positions are competitive, we can
not guarantee you first choice placements. Depending on your qualifications and
with a bit of luck you might receive several offers or only one. Please
be open-minded and take every offer into careful consideration.
Please be sure to send us your application at least 3 months prior to your desired starting date!
STEP 1 – Send us your INITIAL APPLICATION package which should include:
- Internship application form / signed internship agreement
- Resume and/or CV
- Cover letter for your internship which is addressed to the potential employers and includes a detailed description of the type of internship the student would like to complete, the student's qualifications, professional goals and reasons for completing an internship abroad
Please send it to: internship@cepa-europe.com
STEP 2 – Once we receive the initial application package, we will make our first evaluation. If we are fairly confident that there are some good possibilities, based on the criteria you provide and the academic qualifications, then we will inform you and ask you to send us the following additional information within 1 week:
- Diploma, if you are a recent graduate
- Official transcripts (unofficial transcript is also accepted)
- Letter of recommendation from a former or current employer
- Language course certificates (when applicable)
- Copy of any other applicable diplomas and other professional certificates
- Photocopy or scan of the student's valid student ID
- Current and professional headshot (neutral, single-coloured background; a friendly, natural smile)
STEP 3 – After we receive this additional information, we will start the process to locate a suitable internship. The deposit of € 250 is due within 1 week and will be credited towards the program fee. As soon as we have located a possible internship position which matches your criteria as closely as possible, then we will inform you. You will then have the possibility to refuse the offer one time and CEPA will locate another suitable internship position. If we are not able to provide a serious internship offer, the deposit will be fully refunded. If you are interested to apply for the internship(s), we will send an invoice for the following to confirm it:
- 2nd payment - 50% of the internship program fee
- Certificate of Enrollment (official university document showing that the student will be enrolled full-time or at least 50% as a student at your college or university during the time he/she will complete an internship OR a copy of the student's diploma if he/she is a recent graduate)
- Financial Statement
- Photocopy or scan of th student's passport
- Proof of good health standing from a doctor
- Proof of international accident and liability insurance coverage
STEP 4 – Once the 2nd payment is received, we will make the rest of the arrangements for your internship, including accommodation, language course and on-site internship coordinator.
The remaining balance for the internship will be due no later than 30 days prior to departure. Final acceptance and confirmation of an internship placement will not be made until full payment is received.
PLEASE NOTE: Parts of your application materials will be
forwarded to companies/institutions on your behalf. It is in your best
interest to submit a professional and honest application. The photo is
an integral part of the application and should be professionally taken.
The internship can be completed at any time of the year.
Please note that you must make sure that you
meet any visa requirements by the German government.
